TradeCraft Pro

TradeCraft Pro is the paid subscription tier. The free tier includes 3 jobs, 3 quotes, and 3 invoices. Pro removes those limits so a tradesperson can keep creating jobs, quotes, and invoices as their business grows.

TradeCraft Pro also keeps quote, invoice, evidence, handover, and tax-summary PDF export and sharing workflows in the same app workspace alongside CIS tracking, tax-readiness context, and HMRC preparation.

It is available only through Apple In-App Purchase with product IDs com.haloaiservices.tradecraft.premium.monthly and com.haloaiservices.tradecraft.premium.yearly. Purchases, renewal, cancellation, and billing are handled by Apple.

To find TradeCraft Pro on first launch: open TradeCraft and tap View TradeCraft Pro on the TradeCraft Setup welcome screen. Setup is not required for this first-launch review path.

After setup, tap TradeCraft Pro in the iPad sidebar. If the iPad sidebar is hidden in portrait orientation, tap the top-left sidebar button first. On iPhone, tap More, then TradeCraft Pro.

You can also open More - Settings and scroll to Settings - TradeCraft Pro to read the free-tier limits, Pro benefits, Apple billing model, and no-TradeCraft-account storage model before opening the purchase sheet.

Local data

TradeCraft stores app records in Core Data on your device and can sync them through Apple's iCloud/CloudKit service when iCloud is available for the app. Where an installed app version offers quote or invoice images or drawn client signatures, those records use the same device and iCloud-controlled storage model. CIS contractor statement source files use protected app storage on the device and do not live-sync through CloudKit; they are included in the portable owner export. Settings shows the current device storage, iCloud sync, and export status. The current app does not require a TradeCraft account or backend login. Use Settings - Data Ownership - Export TradeCraft Data to create a JSON export of your records. Depending on the installed app version and features used, the export can include sensitive business details, labour time, receipts, contractor statements, document images, job photos, and signatures, so store it securely.

Writing assistance

On supported devices and app versions, the Draft Customer Scope and Draft Invoice Note actions use Apple's on-device model. Your source text is not sent to Halo AI Services or OpenAI. Review every suggestion before applying it; the assistant does not calculate prices, VAT, CIS, tax, legal terms, or safety obligations and never sends a document for you.

Tax summary and accountant review

TradeCraft can export a tax-summary CSV with CIS, VAT, income, expense, MTD readiness, accountant-review fields, and locally recorded HMRC submission receipts. For supported in-app HMRC API submissions, the export also includes the successful response status and any official receipt or submission reference returned by HMRC. Use Settings - Accountant Review to record whether figures are not reviewed, ready for accountant review, or reviewed by an accountant before sharing the export.

If you file an MTD update through HMRC or another tool, open HMRC MTD > View Obligations and use Record HMRC Receipt to save the receipt/reference, submitted date, amounts, and notes. This records evidence only; it does not submit anything to HMRC.

For 2025-26 and later tax years, TradeCraft blocks in-app HMRC submission until the newer cumulative submission endpoint has been implemented and production-tested. You can still prepare figures, export review packs, and record the HMRC receipt after filing elsewhere. Viewing live obligations is available only in an installed build with validated HMRC credentials and network access.

Where an installed version can fetch obligations from HMRC, TradeCraft stores a dated obligation-history snapshot for export and review. This helps preserve what was fetched, when, and which validated HMRC environment supplied it.

App Review test notes

No demo account is required. HMRC network access is not needed to locate or review TradeCraft Pro and may be unavailable unless the installed build contains separately validated HMRC credentials.

Reviewer paths: first launch setup - View TradeCraft Pro; iPad sidebar - TradeCraft Pro; compact layouts - More - TradeCraft Pro; or More - Settings - TradeCraft Pro for the explanatory copy before the purchase sheet. The Pro screen also appears after the free tier reaches 3 jobs, 3 quotes, or 3 invoices.
